My first blog...

This is my first blog and i'm very excited about it because I think that it'll be a beautiful beggining for me to just take a chance and see where this takes me with my company. My name is Andrea and I am a photographer/graphic designer. I have a company in Atlanta called BestInvest Photography & Design. I have alot of high hopes for myself and I know i'll be able to acheive them. My goal isn't self serving, as it is for most. But, I know how cheesy this sounds, but my aim is to change the world, one person at a time. I truly believe that this can be accomplished.

I am in the process of starting a non profit subsidiary company in order to provide training and support services for young single mothers & fathers. Because, as a young single mother, I know how little help is offered and when you do get help its monetary as well as temporary, which isn't going to solve anything. I don't have an instant solution but I do have a solution to get the ball rolling. Tell me what you think:

BestInvest Photography & Design is a premier photography company that caters to people who are looking for more than just a service but an experience as well. The services that we offer are photography, graphic design and printing services. A lot of companies offer one or the other service and this simply creates less stress for our client and less foot work as well. At BestInvest Photography & Design we have an award winning staff with various backgrounds in all 3 fields. No matter what style of design you are looking for I’m sure that we will please. The company is currently in the start-up stages and has one full time employee and several contract workers on call. We are in need of funds in order to purchase new equipment and relocate to a larger professional space, where we will be able to have a reception area, seen as how we do get a lot of walk-in clients.

Not only are we a photography & design company, but we also have a vision to reform the community by having seminars and workshops that focus on graphic design and photography. A lot of people don’t have access to resources that can enable them to advance themselves career wise. In turn I can see most of the people that go through the program becoming viable employees, if not for me then for a number of other companies. Of course this will be a non-profit program, focused mainly on young single mothers and fathers. I don’t believe in having a second rate program which will only temporarily take care of the issues that face people today, I believe in giving them the tools that are essential to not only better their lives but their children’s lives, I want it to get to the point where it spreads throughout the community. Eventually, I will propose a national plan after using this program as a model.
